1924 Harrisburg Uni-flow

In 1922 The Spach Brothers Wagon Works of Winston Salem, North Carolina decided to go into the furniture business. They filed permits with the city to erect a Boiler and Engine house. In 1924 it was opened as Unique Furniture Co. The engine they ordered was this Harrisburg Foundry and Machine Works Engine with a mounted 250 kw Westinghouse Generator.  

Harrisburg Uniflow

 1922 J.C. Spach filed for permits to erect the engine room and boiler house for the Harrisburg Uni-flow. 

 Flywheel, Generator and Crankshaft being hauled. Estimated weight is 23,000 pounds.  

Engine being hauled from the "Spokes And Cleats" showground's to our location. 

Here is the only parts left of the Carthage North Carolina water towing that was built in 1905. The rest of the tower was scrapped in 2018. This will be used to cover the Harrisburg Engine as an industrial Display.

Carthage NC was also known for wagons and carriage's.
