Hamilton Latching Corliss Series B

Steammuseum Museum of Industrial History

Hamilton

This engine has sure seen better days.  Most of the small parts for this engine was scrapped years back. The steam chest was also split and re-sleeved from a 14" to a 13" cylinder. The repairs were well done and very over done in my opinion. I have made and located most of the parts that we need to make this engine run again. We were very lucky to have located a governor for this engine also. We have completed the valve re-build and made a new connecting rod for this engine. The foundation for this engine and the 2nd Bates engine will be poured winter 2023 / 2024.
