Atlas Engine Works

11" bore and 16" stroke, this Atlas engine is a side crank and uses an outboard bearing. In 1912 Atlas went out of business supposedly because of non payment of a government contract. That would make this engine a 1912 or earlier. This engine must be mounted on a foundation before it can be tested. 

The flywheel and crankshaft weighed 4,433 pounds

This engine uses a Pickering 2-1/2" governor

This engine has been inspected closely and we believe it will run without issues. Hope to have it on a foundation soon.
